The new IWTN Strategy 2024-2028 was launched at our AGM in Trim on 21 March 2024.

In launching the Strategy, Virginia Teehan, CEO of the Heritage Council, paid tribute to the achievements of the network since its foundation in 2005 and noted the importance of continuing to work towards sustainable heritage-led regeneration in our urban centres.

The Strategy sets out fifteen strategic goals for the network over the five year period: under the thematic headings of Connection, Conservation and Regeneration.

It will be implemented via an annual action plan, agreed by the membership at the network AGM each year.

The Strategy document – which also contains an overview of the conservation audit carried out in 2022-2023 – is available to read or download here.
