The Irish Walled Towns Network Conservation/Capital Works Grants Scheme 2025 is currently open for applications, closing on 14 February 2025.
Applications are invited from Irish Walled Towns Network members.
Eligible projects in 2025 will include:

Conservation works to town walls (Conservation, Management Plans must be in place and be either adopted or about to be adopted by the local authority).

Preparation of reports and surveys to obtain Ministerial Consent for town wall conservation works.

Preparation/completion of Conservation Management Plans for new entrants and the updating of existing Conservation Management Plans which are at least five years old.

Preparation of Maintenance Plans for town walls where significant conservation work has previously taken place.

Please note that a new Online Grants System was introduced in 2024. If you did not receive a grant from the Heritage Council in 2024 you will need to register before you can start your application. Instructions located here.
