Join us in Kilkenny this October 3rd for the Irish Walled Towns Network annual conference 2025.
Our programme this year celebrates 20 years of the Irish Walled Towns Network.
Presenters will cover key aspects of the IWTN’s activities: archaeology and conservation, festivals and events, community engagement, interpretation and its cross-border remit.
We’ll hear from:
- Martina Moloney, Chair of the Heritage Council
- Tadhg O’Keeffe, Professor in the School of Archaeology, UCD
- Sarah McCutcheon, Local Authority Archaeologist at Limerick City and County Council
- Colin Hindle, Festivals and Events Manager for Fáilte Ireland
- Rósa Corcoran, Festival Director of the Seán Corcoran Series
- Tony Monaghan, Regeneration Manager with Derry City and Strabane District Council
- Regina Fitzpatrick, Heritage Officer at Kilkenny County Council
And we’ll conclude with a walking tour to Talbot’s Tower, part of Kilkenny City’s medieval defences.
